I Woke Up

I didn't realize today

As I looked in your face how I hated you so

I'm not willing to die for you

Nor fight for you

I can't even stand you

Every breath you take I wish was you last

Every time I see your face all I remember are

The beatings you gave me until I fell to your feet

Begging you please stop beating me until I bleed

So don't stand in my face telling me to bow down

And respect you by any means

So I say again I can't stand you

And every breath you take I wish was your last

Because I woke up today

Didn't die in my sleep

From the bruises that you imprinted on me
